Follow Up PMRP Action
Messages
Explanation
This activity is used to follow up the project material
requirements planning (PMRP) action messages, which are produced after PMRP is run. This activity will
open appropriate
windows for you to take action as suggested by PMRP.
The Follow Up option will not be available for the
following messages:
- No Demand Exists
- Available < Safety stock
- Available Covers
Prerequisites
PMRP must have been run.

Procedure

Open the PMRP Action Proposals window, and populate it.

Select a record.

Right-click and then click Follow Up.
For the messages mentioned below, the Follow Up option will be available.
- Excess of Orders
- Need Orders
- If the part Type is Manufactured, and the Supply Type is Requisition then the follow up
menu should bring the Shop Order Requisitions
window. Only the
shop order requisitions with ProposalCreated status will be populated.
- If the part Type is Purchased, and the Supply Type is Requisition then the follow up menu should bring
the Purchase Requisition Lineswindow.
Only the purchase requisition lines with Planned status will be populated
- Late Order
- Early Order
- Order Not Multiple
- Supply is Past Due
- Order After Horizon
- Plan Supply Past Due
- Remove Order
- If the PMRP source is Purchase Order, then the Follow
Up option should open the Purchase Order window with the
appropriate order number displayed.
- If the PMRP source is Shop Order, then the
Shop
Order window will be opened with the appropriate order number
displayed.
- If the PMRP source is Request Quote, then the
Purchase Requisition window will be opened with the appropriate
requisition number displayed.
For the messages listed below, the Follow Up option will open the
Inventory Part
window with the appropriate values
populated for the
related Site and Part No fields.
- Min Order Qty > Lot Size
- Order > Max Lot Size
- Bad Cost Info
- Order Cover Time is 0
- Phantom Orders
- Scrap Factor Problem
For the message mentioned below, the Follow Up option will open the
Purchase Part
window with the appropriate values
populated for the
related Site and Part No fields.
