Enter Basic Data for Production Line

Explanation

Use this function to enter new production lines and connect them to an inventory location. This mandatory task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

By connecting the production line to an inventory location, you define the location from which the system is allowed to reserve material. Only components for the parts the production line manufactures can be reserved at these inventory locations. If these reservations are not sufficient, you can reserve components in the main inventory. You cannot reserve components at an inventory location linked to another production line.
