Study MRP Part Information

Explanation

Use this activity to access information about planned receipts/deliveries and gross demand for parts. You can view information about:

• expected receipts and deliveries of the part.
• existing material/gross requirements.
• planned and proposed receipts from MRP.
• gross requirements for the part calculated by MRP (the requirements when MRP considers only receipts and deliveries, not the quantity on hand).
• the shop order or production schedule that generated the demand; if the part is a component, the parent part is displayed.

Prerequisites

The material requirements calculation must have been performed for the part.

Procedure

1. Retrieve the part for which you want to study the specified information. Use either the Query or Populate function to retrieve the information.
2. Switch to the Details tab to view detailed information regarding the selected part.
3. Switch to the Receipts and Deliveries tab to view expected receipts and deliveries.
4. Switch to the Gross Requirements tab to view gross requirements for the part calculated by MRP.
