Resend Task to Work Order

Explanation

This activity is used to resend a task to a work order. This activity can only be performed when you are operating in a distributed environment. If the creation of the work order fails during the distribution of the task, you can use this activity to resend the task to the work order. However, the error (e.g., missing basic data) that caused the creation of the work order to fail must be corrected before the task can be resent.

Prerequisites

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the task is transferred to a work order. If the task has been distributed with the Simplified Work Order distribution type, the task is automatically completed as well.

Procedure

  1. Open the Maintenance Order window and search for the necessary maintenance order.
  2. Click the Included Tasks tab.
  3. Select the row containing the maintenance task that is to be resent, right-click, and then click Resend.

Note: You can also resend a task from the serial order history windows listed under the Window section.
