Change Price Effective Date Parameter

Explanation

This parameter will determine whether you use the order date (the purchase order create date) when finding the supplier agreement price or whether you should use the receipt date specified on the purchase order line. With this parameter set to the receipt date, you can pre-enter the desired purchase orders and they will use the correct supplier agreement, since there might be a supplier agreement with a start date later than today's date but before the receipt date of the purchase order line. The price effective date also affects which price is retrieved from the price list.

Prerequisites

A supplier must have been entered.

System Effects

The value defined on the supplier will be copied to the purchase order header where it cannot be changed.

Procedure

1. Select the Purchase/Misc Supplier Info tab in the Supplier window.
2. On the Price Retrieval Info group box, in the Price Effective Date list, select whether you want to use the order date or the receipt date when retrieving price information from a supplier agreement or price list.
3. Save when completed.
