Connect or Register Work Order
Explanation
Work Orders and Routes registered in IFS/Service Management can be connected
to project activities. It is also possible to create new Active Work Orders, which are automatically connected to
the project activity.
Prerequisites
- A project activity must exist.
System Effects
- A Work Order is created.
- Work Orders or Routes are connected to the project activity, and vice
versa.
- Planned cost, revenue and time from Work Orders or Routes will be
reported to the activity, through the cost/revenue elements.
- Actual cost, revenue, time and progress will be updated on the activity when
actions on the
connected work orders or routes are performed.
- Activity Connection table will be updated with details of connected work
orders or routes.
- Connected work orders or routes can be accessed from the activity.

- Select the required activity.
- Select the menu option Connect/Disconnect Object.
- In the Connect/Disconnect Object dialog box select the
Active Separate Work
Order tab or Active Round Work Order tab.
- Select the work orders to be connected to the activity.
- Click OK to save the changes then close the dialog box.

- Select the required activity.
- Create a new record in the Active Work Order tab.
- Enter or select from the List of Values a WO Site and a Maintenance
Organization.
- Enter a suitable Directive.
- Save the changes.
