Insert Activities
Explanation
After the project structure is created, you should register the activities related
to the subprojects. See About Activities for more information on activities. All
cost and hours are accumulated on the activities, and cannot be assigned directly
to a subproject.
Objects, for example tasks, work orders, document packages, and purchase orders,
can be connected to activities. These objects report progress, costs and hours to
the activity. In addition, resources can be allocated to activities. An activity's
committed and actual cost/hours can also be updated through IFS/Project Reporting.
Prerequisites
- A subproject must have been created (see Insert Sub Projects activity for
more information),
System Effects
- A new activity is created.
- Objects can be connected to the activity.
- The activity can be registered as a requirement activity in IFS/Project
Delivery.
- If the project is connected to a project planned netting group (PNG), the
activity will be included in the connected PNG.
