Define Control Plan Lines

Explanation

Each Control Plan Manufacturing, Control Plan Purchasing, or Control Plan Inventory consists of two levels: a header and one or more lines. This activity is used to create new control plan lines.

For each control plan line, the sample size has to be calculated when an analysis is created. To calculate the sample size, an inspection code has to be defined.

The inspection type specifies  whether the sample size is based on a fixed quantity or a sample percentage of the order size .It is not possible to use Percentage as the inspection type if the part is used as a production schedule part.

Prerequisites

System Effects

As a result of this activity, one or more control plan lines are created. The inspection code selected in the control plan line, will control the sample size for each data point when the analyses are created.
