Enter Norm Types

Explanation

Use this activity to define the quality measures from which information will be collected for use in IFS/Quality Management. This mandatory task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

A norm type is an ID used in IFS to collect a measurement of quality for a unit of measure, such as length, width, or height. Norm types allow you to review results of a specific norm type's quality. All norm types are user-defined.

Procedure

To perform this activity, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Quality Basic Data window.
  2. On the Norm Types tab, create a new norm type.
  3. In the Norm Type field, enter up to 30 alphanumeric characters for the ID.
  4. In the Description, enter the norm type description.
  5. In the Unit of Measure field, select the unit of measure from the List of Values.
  6. Save the changes.
