Copy All Simulation

Explanation

Use this activity to copy information from one simulation to another. You may choose to copy all of the data in a simulation or select some of the data to be copied. You can also create new resources and parts on the copy. The simulation you copy to can be an existing simulation or a completely new one.

Prerequisites

At least one simulation must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, data will be copied from one simulation to another. If the Copy All check box is selected on the Simulation Copy Assistant for an existing simulation, all existing data will be overwritten on that simulation.

Procedure

 
1. Open the Simulations window. Select the simulation to be copied, right-click and then click Copy Assistant. This will open the Simulation Copy Assistant.
2. Open the Simulations window and select the simulation to be copied.
3. Right-click and then click Copy Assistant. This will open the Simulation Copy Assistant.
4. Enter a new simulation identifier and simulation description in the relevant fields, or select an existing simulation by using the List of Values.
5. Select the appropriate check boxes to define the data to be copied. If Copy All is selected, the entire simulation will be copied. If it is cleared, you can choose what to include and also create new parts and resources.
6. Click Finish.
