Define Contract Demand

Explanation

Use this activity to define a part demand for the sales contract parts. You can choose to create one line or define a demand rate.

Prerequisites

A part must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a part demand for the sales contract is defined. A corresponding supply is automatically created.

Procedure

  1. On the Contract Parts tab in the Manage Sales Contract window, right-click in the data grid in the lower part of the window and click Insert.
  2. Enter a Demand Date.
  3. Enter an Expected Quantity.
  4. Optionally, enter values for Lower Quantity and Upper Quantity. If you do not enter any values, the Expected Quantity value will be used.
  5. Save.

To enter a demand rate:

  1. On the Contract Parts tab in the Manage Sales Contract window, right-click in the data grid in the lower part of the window and click Define Demand Rate. The Define Demand Rate dialog box opens.
  2. Enter values for Start Date, Rate, Number of Periods and Interval.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Save.
