The customer order and sales quotation templates help simplify entering sales quotations or customer orders. Instead of entering all the order lines manually, you can select the order lines from a template containing the parts and quantities that the customer usually buys. Selecting the lines in the template creates the order lines on the actual order or quotation. Customer order templates are mainly used when customers order the same or similar sets of parts over the phone, one or more times a week. The order taker can use the customer order template to enter order lines quickly and easily; this also ensures that the customer does not forget to order his or her usual parts. It can be used to determine if a customer suddenly stops ordering a specific part or has perhaps changed supplier.
In addition to supporting an order template, it is also possible to display the parts and quantities that the customer has purchased the last week, month, year, etc. You can also use the last order or quotation as a template. Another option is to specify an order or quotation number.
When using templates, you can choose to select the suggested lines from the following:
You can connect a default template to a customer in the Customer/Order/Misc Customer Info tab.
