Copy Configuration

Explanation

The Copy Configuration From dialog box allows you to copy an already existing configuration instead of creating a new one. It is then possible to use this configuration as is, or as a basis for a new configuration.

In this dialog box you can specify the selection of configurations by entering the customer order number/sales quotation number, site, part number, etc. The result of the selection is displayed in the lower part of Copy Configuration From where you can select the configuration of your choice.

Prerequisites

• The customer order header or sales quotation header and at least one line must have been entered and saved.
• The appropriate order line or quotation line must be selected.
• No configuration should have been entered for the order line or quotation line.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, an existing configuration along with the default pricing information is copied to the customer order line, or sales quotation line.

Procedure

1. Select the order/quotation line to which you want to copy the configuration.
2. Right click and point to Configuration, then click Copy From. The Copy Configuration From dialog box opens.
3. Enter one or more required search criteria in the From area of the Copy Configuration From dialog box and click Populate. The records that satisfy the specified search criteria will be displayed in the lower part of the dialog box.
4. Select the required configuration from the records displayed.
5. Click OK.
6. Click Save to save the changes.
