Delete Document File
Explanation
Use this activity to delete the document file
that is attached to a
document revision.
Prerequisites
- You should be the document's creator or the Administrator.
- The document revision must have an attached document
file.
- The document issue must be set to Preliminary,
Approval in Progress or
Obsolete status. If the document issue is in status Approval In
Progress, the Update allowed during Approval check box should be
selected.
System Effects
- The physical document file and any existing view copy will
be deleted from the archive. IFS/Document Management does not create a backup of
files before deleting them.
- Once the document file is removed, the document revision can be deleted.

Procedure
- Open the Document Revision window.
- Query for the document revision with an attached document file.
- Right-click and select Delete Document File. A dialog
box opens.
- Click OK to confirm deletion of the
file.
