Verify Default Data

Explanation

Use this activity to verify and maintain the default values and start values that are set upon installation. This optional task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

This is useful in document creation, e.g., issue, title, and object information. For example, you can define the default language, expiration days, revision document number, document class, and file repository. Some default values like system parameters control the behavior of the IFS/Document Management component. Some default values can even be configured per class, so that it is applied in a more specific manner. The SYSCFG-values can be used by System Administrators with special administrative rights to control more sensitive parameters, which even administrative users with less rights should not be able to change. The default values are described here - About Document Default Values.

Default values can be changed at any time and changes affect all users. It is not possible to delete or enter any new entry codes.

Prerequisites

ISO language codes and EDM information must exist, if different from the system-defined systems.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the new default values are used system-wide.
