Find Document by Attribute

Explanation

This activity is used to locate a document with one or more specific attributes when you know in which field a certain text is to be found. This is different to the free text search which is used when you do not know in which field to search. By using this feature you can effectively locate documents that meet your requirements.

Prerequisites

The document(s) must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, documents that fulfill the requirements are displayed.

Procedure

1. Open the window that contain the attributes that you want to search for, right-click and click Search in Context or click the Search icon.
2. Enter the values for the attributes you need to search for and click Search.
3. All documents that fulfill the requirements of your search will be populated in the window.
