Create Service Quotation
Explanation
This activity is used to create a service quotation. A 
service in this context can be the repair or overhaul of an aircraft, engine or 
component; it can be a service management activity, or any other type of work 
that an organization can take on on behalf of a customer. A service quotation is 
built in two levels: a quotation header and quotation lines.
Prerequisites
To create a service quotation for a customer, customer information must be 
defined in the Customer window in IFS/Enterprise. Service quotations can also be created for 
prospective customers without the need for defining customer information prior 
to creating the service quotation.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a service quotation is created. The service 
quotation will receive the New status and can be changed to the Under 
Preparation status.

Procedure
	- Open the Service Quotation window.
- Create a new record. (F5)
- Enter a description in the Quotation Desc field.
- Select a value in the Customer Type field. 
	- If the customer type is Prospect, enter a value in the 
	Customer Name field.
- If the customer type is Normal, enter a value in the Customer 
	field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value. 
	- Enter a value in the Language Code field. Use the List of Values 
	to select a suitable value. The language code is the language in which the 
	quotation letter will be printed. 
- In the General tab, enter suitable dates in the Request Receipt Date and Price 
	Effective Date fields. The price effective date will be used to 
	determine prices from customer agreements. 
- Optionally, enter values in the other fields.
- Save the record. (F12)
- Right-click, point to Status and then click Under Preparation.
