Delete Packages

Explanation

This activity is used to delete specific package units, once it has been created. Package units are generally connected to a handling unit, which is a device that can be handled physically (e.g., a pallet), and may carry one or several packages. You should note that when deleting a handling unit, any package units connected to the handling unit will also be deleted automatically a. Also note that the package ID will not be re-used for new packages when a package unit is deleted.

Prerequisites

• The package unit must have been created and connected to the handling unit.

System Effects

• The package unit will be deleted.

Procedure

1. Query for a specific shipment ID.
2. Click the Package Structure tab to view the package structure details.
3. Expand the shipment ID by selecting it.
4. Expand the handling unit. 
5. Select the specific package unit you want to delete.
6. Right-click on the package unit and then click Delete Package Unit.
