Send Direct Delivery Message

Explanation

In a multi-site scenario with direct delivery, from the supply site to an end customer, the supply site can send an EDI message (direct delivery notification message, DIRDEL) to the ordering site. This is a notification that the goods have been sent to the end customer. You can use this function to re-send the direct delivery notification message as well.
 

Prerequisites

• The customer order has been created by an internal purchase order using the supply method, Internal purchase direct delivery.
• Basic data for the EDI message function must have been set up in IFS/Connectivity.
• You must have entered DIRDEL message for applicable internal customer (ordering site), in the Customer/Message Setup.
• The delivery note must have been created in Create Delivery Note for Customer Orders.

System Effects

The direct delivery message is sent via EDI to the ordering site.

Procedure

1. Populate or query for the customer order in question.
2. Right click and select Delivery Note. A dialog box opens up. Confirm by clicking on the OK button.
