This activity is used to print a packing list. The packing list is used as a pick list before the reservation is done and therefore it enables you to get a real pick list. This feature ties in to the benefit of early created shipments and early shipment planning. The packing list is considered as a document that can be printed several times, each time displaying the current contents and status of the shipment. Therefore, the packing list may have to be reprinted if the content such as the connected order lines are changed.
You can print a packing list as soon as the shipment is created. However, you should note that at this point the document is considered as preliminary if it is printed before the shipment has been completed. A packing list printed after the shipment is completed, is considered as final.
