Use this dialog box to generate order-based lot/batch numbers for your shop order. You must specify the number of parts to be contained in the lot/batch. Use the Generate button to generate a reserved lot/batch and leave the dialog open for another reservation, and use the OK button to generate a reserved lot/batch and close the dialog.
The lot/batch numbers generated will follow the standard syntax of Order-Release-Sequence plus an index number. Thus a shop order XB1001, release 1, sequence 1 would have a generated lot/batch number XB1001-1-1-1. If the part being manufactured allows more than one lot per order, you can reserve multiple lot/batches; this will increment the last number shown in the generated example to give you XB1001-1-1-2, XB1001-1-1-3 etc..
