Change Sub Contract Line Item Status
Explanation
This activity is used to manually change the status of a contract line item 
to any of the following statuses:
	- Planned - No progress is recorded yet.
- Work In Progress - Some progress is recorded, i.e., when the call 
	off for the item has been released.
- Completed - 100% certified progress.
When the line item is included in a call off, and that call off is released, 
the status of the line item is automatically set (from Planned) to 
Work In Progress. Likewise, when the valuation for the line item has been 
certified to a value equal to or more than the contract value of the item, the 
status automatically changes (from Work In Progress) to Completed.
Owing to the automatic status update feature, certain validations are carried 
out when you are manually changing the status. For example:
	- If you set the status to Completed, but the status of the 
	valuation sets it to Work In Progress, then the line item is kept in 
	the Work In Progress status.
- If you set the status to Work In Progress, but the status of the 
	valuation sets it to Completed, then the line item is kept as 
	Completed.
Note: When the line item is set to the Completed status, 
further updates will not be allowed on the item unless the corresponding 
valuation is modified.
Prerequisites
  - The sub contract should not be in either the Closed or Cancelled 
	status.
- A sub contract line item must exist.
System Effects
  - The status of the sub contract line item is changed to the desired status.

Procedure
  - Open the 
	Sub Contract window and query (F3) for the 
	necessary sub contract.
- Click the 
	Items tab and then click the 
	Lines/Items
	sub-tab.
- Select the line item, right-click, point to Status, and then 
	click the desired status.
