Freeze Sub Contract Revision
Explanation
This activity is used to freeze a sub contract revision. Usually this
activity is performed to prevent anyone from doing any more changes on a sub contract revision. Freezing a
sub contract revision is
normally done at critical stages during the lifecycle of a sub contract. This can
typically be when submitting an invitation to tender, being awarded the sub
contract, and when the
sub contract is agreed and activated.
The sub contract revision will be frozen (if not already
frozen) automatically when performing any of the following activities:
  - Setting
Invitation to Tender Baseline
- Setting Sub Contract Baseline
Since the activities below offer the possibility of performing the
activities above, they will indirectly freeze the revision if you choose to
set a baseline.
  - Activate Sub Contract
- Award Sub Contract
- Submit Sub Contract
To perform modifications on a frozen revision, it is recommended that you
create a new revision, rather than unfreezing the frozen revision.
Prerequisites
  - The sub contract revision must not already be Frozen.
- The sub contract should not be in either the Cancelled or Closed
	status.
System Effects
  - The sub contract revision is frozen. Further changes cannot be performed
	on the sub contract lines
  and items.
- The Frozen check box is selected in both the
	Items
  and
	Revision tabs.
- All default values on the sub contract will be copied to each line item,
	excepting values that are
already overridden on the item level.
