Copy Previous Valuation

Explanation

This activity is used to copy values from a previous valuation. When you are valuating the work performed and the material stored on a contract, it might be a time consuming job, and it is most likely that a number of contract items will not have their valuation values changed since the last valuation. To assist the person responsible for performing the valuation, and to avoid having to enter values for all items, values from the previous valuation are copied when you are creating a new valuation as well as when you are refreshing contract details. If a previous valuation does not exist, the valuation values are automatically set to zero.

In addition, it will be possible to manually copy either the valuation, application or certified values from the previous valuation by right-clicking and then clicking Copy Previous on the valuation, valuation lines and valuation line items.

Contract items that are already valued will not receive a value copied from the previous valuation.

Note: Cancelled valuations will not be considered when copying previous valuation values.
