Define Printers for Print Server

This step is mandatory.

At least one printer must be defined as the default printer for the application. This is done in the Printer Definition/Logical Printer tab in System Setup folder. You must also assign a user to the printer.

Set up and define printers to be used by the system on the Print Server software. This is done outside IFS Applications and must be performed by the system administrator (customer IT staff). 

The print server tracks print jobs run from the application. The server must have printers set up for each database and per subnet with the necessary print queue's set up which will be used by IFS Applications.

Note: The print server also allows you to specify the printer to which special forms and reports are sent, e.g., invoices, purchase orders, sales orders, or acknowledgements. This is defined in the Printer Definition/User Printer window.
