Basic Data Setup

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to familiarize you with how to set up basic data for serial shipment container code.

Windows:
Sales Basic Data/SSCC
Company/Distribution/General

Create Company Prefix

1. Create a new record on the header of the SSCC tab.
2. Enter the company prefix ( Example: 4790001 This is given by GS1 organization).
3. Enter the start value, next value and the end value in the relevant fields.
4. Save your changes.
5. Click the Extension Digit for Package Type tab and create a new record.
6. Using the list of values select the package type.
7. Enter the extension digit for package type ( 0-9 digit).
8. Save your changes.
9. Click the Extension Digit for Pallet Type tab and create a new record.
10. Enter the pallet type and the extension digit for package type.( 0-9 digit)

Define SSCC Company Prefix to the Company

1. Open the Company window and search for your company.
2. Click the General/Distribution tab.
3. In the SSCC Company Prefix field, use the list of values and select the created company prefix by you.
4. Save your changes.
