When performing the exercises below please replace all occurrences of X with the site ID assigned to the trainer. This is to ensure that you work with your own data. |
Note: Both the IFS Scheduling/Simulation Client and the IFS/Scheduling/Planner Client consist of two main windows:
Data Tree window - contains the basic data, work orders and other information that is relevant for the scheduling process.
Gantt Chart window - used to visualize the schedule. You can drag-and-drop nodes from the Data Tree window to the Gantt Chart window.
The CBS clients contain two basic features :
Loading a schedule from the CBS Server - The CBS client holds a separate copy of the schedule that is loaded when the server is started up or whenever you click the Database Open toolbar icon (the leftmost icon in the toolbar).
Scaling the gantt chart according to schedule contents.
In the Data Tree window select a node that is colored green, drag-and-drop onto the Gantt Chart window.
Drag the uppermost activity onto the
Drag & Drop Auto Timescale icon in the
Gantt Chart (
). The Gantt Chart will now adjust to the
dates when the activity/activities have been scheduled.
