Report In Route
Note: Before beginning this exercise, you must have
completed the Route
WO Preparing – Exercises and then generated the work orders for your route PM actions.
- Open the
Active Routes window, and populate it (F2).
Note: The same route list may have generated multiple route work orders. One route work order is created
for each route list, maintenance organization, supplier, and craft.
- Find the route work order or orders that were generated from your route ID.
- Select the route work orders, and right-click and then
click Report In Route Work Order.
- Click the
Materials tab, and verify that the material requirement is inherited
from the PM. The work order is PM generated. Therefore, the entire
material planning will be copied from the route PM action to this work order.
- When the work order is completely
prepared, you can change
the status to Released.
- When the work order is ready to be executed, the status
should be changed to Started.
- In the Report In Route window, find a route work order with the Started status. Hint: Query
(F3) for work orders with the
status set to Started.
- Make sure that you have completed all the actions on the route work order. If
some actions have not been completed, you should change the action status to
Not Completed. Select the action that is not completed, and then right-click
and then click Not Completed.
- If you are going to finish the route without completing some of the
actions, you should also consider entering an inspection note, such as: This action was generated but not completed on
[today's
date]. Also select the Generate Note check box to make this note appear
the next time a route work order is generated for this action.
- Click the
General tab,
right-click, click Work Order Status and then click Work Done.
- When some or all of the actions on the route have been completed, you
should report the time it took to complete the actions. Click the
Time Report tab, and report in the hours worked on this route work
order. Enter the employee ID, maintenance organization, craft ID, and number of
hours. Use the List of Values (F8).
- Save the new information (F12).
- Click the
General tab,
right-click, click Work Order Status and then click Reported.
Note: If you enter a maintenance organization and craft, the total is
based on the hourly rate of the craft. In IFS/Service Management, the amount depends on what you enter for
maintenance organization,
craft, sales part, price list number, and number of hours. The amount or amounts
on this tab are automatically displayed as personnel costs in the Amount
field on the
Postings tab.
- If you used more material than expected on this work order, you
should add a new row or adjust the material list as required. Enter the required
date and quantity on each row in the material list.
- Select the rows on the
Materials tab, and issue all inventory parts:
right-click and then click Issue or Issue Manually.
- Click the
Postings tab. Select the rows,
right-click and then click Authorized All Non-Authorized.
- Select an appropriate signature. Click OK to
complete the authorization.
- Make sure that any permit connected to the route work
order is returned before finishing the route work order.
- Click the
General tab,
right-click, click Work Order Status and then click Finished.
- Enter the actual finish date and an appropriate signature
in the window. Click OK. From now on, the concluded route work orders
will appear in the Historical Routes window.
Note: Do not forget to report in and conclude the
other route work orders that may have been generated from the same route list by
repeating the steps above.
