Enter Tax Template Field Control
Explanation
This activity is used to enter the field control for a 
selected, user-defined tax template. This can involve adding new template fields to a 
tax template and/or modifying information relating to existing template fields. 
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity, 
	- A user defined tax 
template must exist, and 
- The value entered for the tax template in the 
	Template Field Control field
	in the Tax Templates window 
	must be Can or Mandatory.
	
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the field control entered 
for the template will apply when selecting the fields to be used in a tax report 
based on the template.

Procedure
To add a new 
template field for a tax template:
	- Open the Tax Templates window 
	and query for the tax template for which you want to enter a new template field.
- Select the record, right-click and then click Field 
	Control Basic to open the 
	Tax Template Field Control Basic 
	window.
- Create a new record in the table.
- Enter an ID for the new template field in the Template 
	Field field.
- Enter a description for the new template field in the 
	Description field.
- Select an appropriate field type from the list for 
	the Template Field Type field.
- Select the Visible in Presentation check 
	box for the new template field if you want it to be visible in the 
	Tax 
	Proposal - Template Field Presentation window.
- In the Presentation Row field, enter the 
	number of the row in which the template field should appear in the 
	Tax Proposal 
	- Template Field Presentation window. The presentation row should be 
	entered only if you have selected the Visible in Presentation check 
	box for the template field.
- In the Presentation Column field, enter the 
	number of the column in which the template field should appear in the 
	Tax 
	Proposal - Template Field Presentation window. The presentation 
	column should be entered only if you have selected the Visible in 
	Presentation check box for the template field.
- In the Tax Report Field ID field, enter the 
	ID with which the template field should be printed in the tax reports.
- Select a value from the list for the Data Type field to specify 
	the type of data to be entered in the template field.
- Enter a value in the External File Record Type ID field to 
	connect a record type to the template field.
- Enter a value in the External File Column ID field to specify the 
	column in the output file in which you want the field value to be displayed.
- Save the information.
- Validate the information you entered, and do any 
	modifications if necessary.
To modify any 
information relating to fields that already exist in a template:
	- Open the Tax Templates window 
	and query for the tax template for which you want to modify the information 
	relating to the existing template fields.
- Select the record, right-click and then click Field 
	Control Basic to open the 
	Tax Template Field Control Basic 
	window.
- Populate the table and modify, as appropriate, the information for 
	the template fields that already exist in the template. 
- Save the information.
