For general navigation you can use the Navigate button, at the top of the page. If you don't have any My Links portlets connected to the Navigate menu it will just direct you to the Tree Navigator. (Small Down arrow in the image depicts that there is more than one menu item available)
Simply redirect you to the Tree Navigator | ||
Will Open a popup menu with a link to the Tree Navigator and saved links belonging to connected My Links portlets. |
The IFS Navigator organizes the contents of IFS Applications.
You navigate in the IFS Navigator in the same way as you navigate in the basic tree structure. You can open a page or other item by clicking on it. Use the filter text box above the tree navigator to search for contents within the navigator.
Note: If you right click on an item, you may select Open in new window. This makes it possible to display several pages at once.
The save Link option allows you to create your own "navigator" using the "My Links" portlet. If you select Save Link from the "Options" menu, the link to the web page you are currently working with will be stored with your personal settings. These links can be configured to display in the My Links Portlet. You can have more than one My Links portlet displayed at the same time. This can be useful if you configure a portlet to show the links you use regularly.
By clicking the home button you can go back to the Portal page. If there are multiple portal views, then a popup menu will open from which you can select the desired portal page. This Home button will not appear while in the Portal page. Instead you'll see all configured portal views shown in tabs.
Application Search is a concept for finding and navigating to IFS Applications business objects using text search. This gives the user more freedom to perform search without knowing exactly where or in which attribute a certain text is stored.
You can search within IFS Applications through a set of predefined search domains. If there are no pre-selected search domain for you, then you must select at least one search domain before using this feature. The image will drop down the list of available search domains from which you can choose. Your selection will be stored in your profile for future occurrences.
You can also specify whether the result should by default include the summary.
By entering the search criteria and pressing IFS Applications will search through your selected search domain(s) for matching documents and will display them.
