Use this window to create an access group and connect users to the given access group. When an access group is created, the user responsible for its creation will automatically be assigned to the access group along with the user ID, IFSAPP. A user connected to an access group will have access to all the serials and maintenance programs defined for the given access group.
The users who are not defined in any access group cannot view information that is access controlled. However, serials that are not access controlled will be available for all users. When a new user record is entered in the system, the user will automatically become a member of all the access groups that have the New users will automatically be assigned check box selected. This will be done by a batch job run every hour or every night as defined during installation.
To assign users to an access group, select the Copy or Import Users to Access Group right mouse button option. You can select whether you want to copy existing users from a company, site, defined access group or you can choose to assign all users in the system to the selected access group.
Note: Access groups that are created will only apply to data in IFS/Vehicle Information Management.
