Cancel an Operation
Explanation
This activity is used to cancel an operation or subtask (from IFS/Vehicle Information
Management). It is not possible to cancel an operation if any of the following information
is recorded on it: material usage, tools and/or facility usage or man-hour consumption.
If dependencies exist on the operation being cancelled, a warning message will
be displayed with information on the existing dependency.
Prerequisites
- The cause for canceling must be defined in Operation Basic Data.
- If the CBS server is to be updated with information on the cancellation,
the site to which the operation belongs must be a CBS enabled site. A site is
CBS enabled in Scheduling Basic Data.
System Effects
- The operation or subtask is set to the Cancelled status.
- If the operation is connected to a CBS enabled site, the CBS server will
be updated with the cancellation and the operation will be removed from the
server. If dependencies exist for the operation, the dependencies will be removed
as well.
