Create Repair Work Order for Non-Serial Part

Explanation

Use this activity to create a repair work order for a non-serial part that is to be moved from the facility to the workshop for repair.

Before a repair work order is created, the following must have been completed:

The functional object (workshop) must exist in Functional Object.
The inventory part must exist in IFS/Inventory.
The information on maintenance organizations and employees must exist in Organization Basic Data.

As a result of this activity, a repair work order is created for the non serial part.

Open New Repair Work Order for Non Serial Part dialog box.
Enter the object that is to be moved to the workshop and a site to which the object belongs in the Object ID and Site field. Click List to select suitable values.
Enter the part number that is to be issued for the repair in the Part No field and the site to which the part belongs to in the Site field. Click List to select suitable values.
If the part is lot/batch tracking enabled part, enter a value for the Lot/Batch No field. Click List to select an existing lot/batch number or enter a new lot/batch number if required.
Enter appropriate values in the Date, Planned Completion, Directive, Maint. Org., Reported by and Site fields. Click List to select suitable values where appropriate.
Click OK.
