Cycle Schedules

[To Administer Schedules and Rules] [About Working Hours Schedules]

Usage

Use this tab to create the Cycle schedule ID and to define the start date and the length of the schedule cycle. The cycle defines which days an employee is supposed to work, and within those days, how many hours. You can either use day types to add this information to your schedule, or you can enter the amount of hours directly in the schedule cycle. Day types are often needed when employees use Time and Attendance to report their presence and absence. The calculation of clocking requires day types. If time is reported using the Time Management interface, day schedules consisting of hours alone will suffice in most cases.

The normal cycle schedule, as defined as above, is supplemented with a substitute schedule in which exceptions from the normal are registered, e.g., work free days due to public holidays.
