Create Commissioning Package

Explanation

This activity is used to create a commissioning package, which is a functional unit within a system or a sub-system for commissioning. A functional unit is tested by commissioning to confirm its suitability for operation.

A commissioning package is broken down into multiple MC (mechanical completion) packages. Each MC package is logical unit, for example, instrumentation within a sub-system. A commissioning package is created as an object of class Commissioning Package. The commissioning package number is the Object ID.
 

Prerequisites

• A class for the commissioning package must exist.
• The design object class for commissioning package, should have a class defined with the Can have free functional children Class Relation.

Procedure

1. Open the Design Object or Design Objects window.
2. Click New.
3. In the Plant field, enter the name of the plant to which the object belongs. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
4. In the Class field, enter the name of the commissioning package class to which the object belongs. Use List of Values to select a suitable value.
5. In the Object ID field, click the drop down list to view and enter values for the ID model categories of the selected class.
6. In the Description field, enter the main description for the design object, which can be viewed from other areas in the application.
7. Click Save.
