Set Disposition Shop Order Line to Parts Identified - Component MRO

Explanation

This activity is used to indicate that the process of identifying parts is completed.

The reason for having this step in the process is to prevent obscurities regarding the items that are to be processed on the disposition line. Sometimes it could be hard to identify one or several specific items. They could for example be covered in grime or corrosion. When you have been able to identify the items associated with the disposition line, change the disposition line status to Parts Identified.

If an item has been incorrectly identified for the disposition line you can reverse the identification by doing Unidentify Parts.

Prerequisites

Serial numbers and or lot/batch numbers must have been selected for the disposition line.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, any modifications and LLP tasks that may be required for the parts will be determined.
