Approve Project Product Design

Explanation

Use the menu option Design to advance a project item from Defined status to Designed. The menu option Approve Design will change the status from Defined to Designed. Approve Design affects only the selected item(s) and not the structure above or below the selected item(s).

Prerequisites

• The project part definition must be approved.
• The project item must be in Defined status (Redefine Project Item)
• The project must have been approved.
• Approval routing for the project item (if used) must have been completed.
• The standard part must have been released, otherwise technical characteristics from Part Catalog will be used.

System Effects

• The project item status is set to Designed.
• Designed Date is set to the current date.
• A line is written in the journal.
