Characteristics Attribute Rollup Calculation

Explanation

Use the menu option Calculate Technical to start the technical rollup calculation for the part and for the selected attribute(s). This calculation will only calculate the part and its substructure. The calculation will use the values registered in technical characteristics for the part in IFS/PartCatalog if the Part Revision is not released, else it will use the values in Engineering Part Revision Snapshot. If a part has an attribute value and a part higher up in the structure also has a value for that attribute, the value on the highest level is used in the calculation.

Prerequisites

• Attributes to be calculated must have been entered in Project Item/Char. Calc.
• The part must have a structure.

System Effects

The defined characteristics for calculation are calculated to the unit of measure specified by the user.
