Connect Work Guideline to Structure Component

Explanation

Use this activity to connect work guidelines to a selected structure component. Work guidelines can be created manually or from a work guideline template.

Prerequisites

If a work guideline template is to be used, that template must be defined. A structure component must also be defined for a part.

As a result of this activity, the system connects work guidelines to a structure component.

Procedure

1. Query the part that has the structure component to which you want to connect work guidelines.
2. Select the component to be connected to work guidelines in the Product Structure, Recipe Structure, or Config Structure tabs.
3. Right-click, then click Work Guideline. A Work Guidelines window for the structure type opens.
4. Select the first row of the table window, then double-click to create a new record.
5. To create a work guideline manually, enter a value for Guideline Desc and Guideline Text.
6. To use a work guideline template, select the new line, right-click, then click Work Guideline Template. In the Select Work Guideline Template dialog, select a work guideline template and click OK.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for each work guideline that you want to connect to the selected structure component.
8. Save the record (F12).
