Deplete FA Pool

Explanation

Use this activity when you want to initiate scrapping of a fixed asset (FA) object. When an FA object that is connected to a fixed asset rotable part pool is scrapped, the connected individual is removed from the fixed asset rotable pool and returned to stock with an inventory value equal to the net book value of the FA object.

Prerequisites

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the status of the selected FA object will be changed to Scrap Allowed. This is a prerequisite to be able to scrap the FA object. This is done in the Object/Rotable Pool window in IFS/Fixed Assets. When the FA object is scrapped, the connected individual will be removed from the fixed asset rotable part pool and returned to stock with the inventory value equal to the net book value of the FA object. Once back in stock, the individual also will be connected to the entered part availability control ID.
