Start Simulation Client

Explanation

Use this activity to start the simulation client. The simulation client allows you to simulate sequencing operations without affecting the shop schedule.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that a site connected to a Scheduling Server exists.

System Effects

As a result of this activity the system creates a simulated sequence of operations.

Procedure

1. In the Site field, select for which site to simulate scheduling operations. Click List to select from the available sites.
2. Specify whether the system should first update the material availability profile.
3. Click OK. This updates the material availability profile, if specified, and starts the simulation client.
4. Simulate the order of different operations by using the drag and drop feature.
