Enter Use Of Released Purchase Requisitions In Planning

Explanation

Use this activity to define how the planning systems should treat purchase requisitions in Released status. Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Master Scheduling and Project MRP treat purchase requisitions in status Authorized, Partially Authorized and Request Created as existing supply. Selecting this check box results in these planning systems also treating purchase requisitions in status Released as existing supply. If this check box is selected, the planning systems will not delete purchase requisitions in status Released at the start of the planning processes, and they will be viewed as existing supply later in the planning processes.

Prerequisites

A site must have been entered.

Procedure

1. Open the Site window, and if the site is already entered, query for the proper site.
2. On the Manufacturing tab, select the Use Released Purch Requisitions in Planning check box to change the treatment of released purchase requisitions  to the desired method.
3. Save when completed.
