This window can be used to obtain an overview of the plant—or rather, the selected production units—in order to view its APQ values for the past 30 days, and discern if the trend is of a positive or negative type. You can also view the current status of all the production units that are available in this overview window.
You can define the information you want displayed in this window, for instance, the required production units and whether you want to calculate the trend for these production units by using the Configure APQ Overview dialog box. This dialog box can be accessed at first by clicking the Overall Equipment Effectiveness component in the navigator. To modify an existing view, right-click on the lower part of this window and select Feature Configurations.
This window is divided into two sections: The upper part of the window consists of a table which displays percentage values for the A (Availability), P (Performance), Q (Quality), and calculated APQ of each production unit. Depending on your selection in the Configure APQ Overview dialog box, the short and long trend of APQ values for each production unit will be calculated and displayed in this table. The lower part of the window displays a production rate graph for each unit. The current status of a production unit is shown in the header of the corresponding graph. Additionally you can view information on the number of stops and average production rate per production unit for the selected period of time.
APQ values are calculated for the past 30 days by using goal rates and internal events. The actual values will be displayed with a red background if the values are below the set goal, and a normal background if the values exceed the set goal. The short trend of APQ values are calculated by comparing the latest week to the past four weeks. The long trend of APQ values are calculated by comparing the last 30 days to the past 90 days. These trend values are displayed with a red background if the calculated values is minus five percent or lower, a yellow background signifies that the calculated trend value is between zero and minus five percent, and a green background signifies that it is a positive trend.
Note: The main purpose of this window is to present an overview of a plant, it is not meant for analyzing purposes.
