Use this tab to create a requisition for inventory parts (including external maintenance and repair services), non-inventory parts, and external crafts that are needed for a work order. A requisition consists of a requisition header and one or several requisition lines. A requisition can be considered as a preliminary purchase order. However, a requisition does not cause parts to actually be purchased, but is merely a proposal, which a purchaser or coordinator can or cannot accept when working on a purchase order. In contrast to a purchase order, a requisition can be entered by any user in the system, including users who do not have the authority to register purchase orders directly. Use the Part Requisition Lines tab to enter the requisition lines for inventory parts that must be purchased (including external maintenance and repair services). Use the No Part Requisition Lines tab to enter the requisition lines for non-inventory parts and external crafts.
You can also find the Requisitions tab as an underlying tab in the Prepare Work Order Quotation/Prepare tab.
