Define PNG Default Settings

Explanation

This activity is used to enter the default settings for a project planned netting group (PNG). These default settings will be used when a project PNG is created either automatically or by using the Create Project PNG right mouse button option from the Project Navigatorwindow. You may modify these values for a PNG at any time.

Procedure

1. Open the PMRP Basic Datawindow and click the PNG Default Settings tab.
2. To automatically create a PNG for a project, select the Create Project PNG Automatically check box.
3. Select the Automatic MTR check box if you want to allow a material transfer requisition (MTR) with the supply source Inventory to be executed automatically during the multi project MRP process.
4. To generate all MTRs with the transfer type Planning, select the Generate MTR for Planning Only check box.
5. Select a value in the Within PNG In/Out list to indicate how part transfers between activities must be controlled.
6. Select a value in the corresponding Borrow/Payback list to indicate the borrow and payback requirements of activities within the same PNG.
7. Select a value in the Between PNG In list to indicate how incoming part transfers from activities outside a PNG should be controlled.
8. Select a value in the Between PNG Out list to indicate how outgoing part transfers to activities outside a PNG should be controlled.
9. Select a value in the corresponding Borrow/Payback list to indicate the borrow and payback requirements of activities which belong to different PNGs.
10. Save the information.
