Define PMRP Message Controller

Explanation

This activity is used to create new PMRP Message Controllers. You can specify the user ID and planner ID which is used to define the message controller. A single user ID can have multiple planner IDs (not duplicates), and vice versa. 

Prerequisites

• User IDs must have been registered as Foundation Users.
• Planner IDs must have been defined in the Inventory Basic Data window.
• At least one controller must have been defined, to be able to set the message configuration on the PMRP Message Configuration tab of the PMRP Basic Data window. 

System Effects

Message configurations set by the message controller will restrict the messages available for selection.

Note: Only the messages that have been selected by the message controller can be selected by the users on the PMRP Message Configuration tab of the PMRP Basic Data window.

Procedure

1. Open the PMRP Basic Data window and click the PMRP Message Controller tab.
2. Create a new record.
3. Select the appropriate user ID and planner ID from the List of Values.
4. Save the record.
