Reorganize Project Structure

Explanation

Perform this activity to reorganize the project structure by moving subprojects and activities. This can be done by updating the Parent Sub Project ID field in the Sub Projects window and updating the Sub Project ID field in the Activities window. Alternatively, the drag and drop method can be used in the graphical structure navigator in the Project Navigator window.

Prerequisites

• A project with project structure must exist.

Procedure

• To move an activity in Activities

1. Enter the ID for the new subproject, or select from List of Values (F8).
2. Save the changes.

• To move a sub project in Sub Projects

1. Enter the new subproject ID in Parent Sub Project ID field or select from List of values (F8).
2. Save the changes.

• To move an activity in Project Navigator

1. Click the activity to be moved, drag it to the subproject, and drop the activity on the new parent.

• To move a sub project in Project Navigator

1. Click the subproject to be moved, drag it to the subproject or the project, and drop it on the new parent.
