Usage

Use this window to view all serial structure records. This window can be used as a starting point to view details for a specific structural record. It can also show serial structure records that do not have serial numbers, for example when serial numbers have not been assigned to the serials as yet. Serials without serial number tracking may be attached to the lowest level of the structure and will not have a serial number. You can establish serials to be used in serial structures based on template structures. Assign each serial to its template structure by its structure position and top part revision.

You can enter serial information in this window only once, for example, when a serial structure is created using the Import Template Structure right mouse button option and the serial numbers have not yet been generated. In which case, you can use this window to create the serials. Updating serial information in this window is not possible.

If the part has an assigned serial number, you can connect documents and characteristics to the part in Attachments. Note: When a serial is deleted, only the connections to the attached documents and characteristics will be deleted. If you wish to delete the documents you will need to manually remove it in IFS Document Management.

Select the Copy Template Structure (One Level) right mouse button option to copy from the template structure to the next level for your serial structure. This selection performs the same functionality as the Import Template Structure option, except that only one level is handled.

Select the Change Maintenance Program right mouse button option to change the current maintenance program, and the maintenance programs on serials that have the Planned For Operation, In Operation or Out Of Operation statuses. The maintenance program along with the maintenance group determines which maintenance plan should be used for the serial.

To extend access rights to the serials of a selected top serial, select the Spread Access Rights to Serials right mouse button option. The Spread Access Rights To Serials dialog box will be opened.
