Use the third step to enter component repair order (CRO) part lines. It is on the part line the part and the quantity to be repaired is defined. All possible actions for a component repair order are done on a line level. The parts to be processed on the CRO lines must be owned by the same customer. It is not possible to handle services of components owned by different customers on the same CRO. The information entered in the CRO header is inherited to all CRO lines. On the part line you can manually change the default values retrieved from the header at any time during the repair process. You can create new part lines for an existing component repair order as long as the status is Released.
You can also register any accessories delivered together with the repair part. Accessories could be a remote control, a power cable, or perhaps something really expensive that you must keep track on. Accessories are always non-inventory parts and will not create any inventory transactions or records. The accessory line is tied to a specific CRO line. At the same time you can report the accessories as received and indicate if the accessories should be shipped back to customer.
