Unreserve Material

Explanation

Use this activity to unreserve previously reserved material. You can unreserve material for the entire shop order, or if you are in Shop Order/Material, for one or more material lines at a time.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the shop order have the Reserved status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system unreserves material for the entire shop order or for one material line. If the entire shop order is unreserved, the shop order and all material lines return to Released status. If a material line is unreserved, the status for this line returns to Released.

Procedure

From the shop order:

• To unreserve material for the entire shop order, right-click anywhere in the header and then click Unreserve.

From the Material tab on the shop order, MRO shop order, or disposition shop order:

1. To unreserve material for one or several selected material lines at a time, select the material line(s) for which to unreserve material.
2. Right-click anywhere in the table and click Unreserve. The Unreserve Shop Order dialog box appears.
3. When the system prompts you to unreserve the specified row, click Yes.
